Are you a Veteran?  Do you know a Veteran?  The North Plains Elementary School is planning a Veteran’s Day assembly on Tuesday, November 8th at 1:15 pm to honor our military past and present.

City Council Review of the Recommended Approval from the Planning Commission

The City of North Plains received two applications for annexation earlier this year. The Planning Commission conducted a public hearing at the May 11, 2016, Planning Commission Meeting. They have made recommendation for approval of both applications. On November 7th, the City Council will review the application and consider the recommendation from the Planning Commission.  The Council begins at 7:00 pm. The public is welcome to attend.

Farmers Insurance Agency is sponsoring a collection of slightly-used business clothes for returning veterans when they go on job interviews and start working.  All types of business attire are needed for male and female.

Red Cross Emergency Preparedness

Come to the North Plains Public Library for a free presentation by the American Red Cross. This presentation includes a discussion about disasters that can occur in our area. Learn the three essentials of being informed, making a plan and building a kit. This is suitable for ages 10 and up.
