Tammy and Levi Hobson started Splinter Alley with their Axe Throwing Mobile Unit in August, 2023. Since then, they have served surrounding communities with the best family entertainment for birthdays, weddings, holidays, festivals, graduations, corporate events, bachelor(ette) parties and more. They’ve been to Banks, Hillsboro, McMinnville, Vernonia, Astoria. They have been to the Hillsboro Air Show, Oktoberfests, Christmas Parades, Farmer’s Markets, Street Fairs and also debuted the Elephant Garlic Festival.
Their vision is to serve our community with a convenient, safe, fun indoor place for youth, families, couples to come play year round.
You can book an axe lane or play mini golf for any event, bring in your food and treats, and have a blast making memories together!
There is one kid axe lane for the littles and five adult axe lanes for the rest. These lanes have fantastic digital targets with a ton of games to choose from so you’ll never get bored.
They received the building keys on August 16th and have worked hard since then to have the best entertainment location in North Plains.

City of North Plains Pacific Dog Park Grand Opening
Saturday, September 7, 2024
The City's new dog park is a cozy 0.25 acres, making it an intimate space for dogs and their owners to enjoy. The City is doing the best with the space available and would definitely consider a larger Park if more space becomes available. This small but vibrant area will turn an underutilized space into a community asset. The City is accepting suggestions from Park users as to amenities to add to the Park. For more information about the Pacific Dog Park and why it was switched from a playground to Dog Park, go to the City's website.
Jewett Cameron Co., a North Plains Chamber Member for many years, partnered with the City of North Plains to provide the fencing materials. The Lifetime Steel Posts®, Adjust-A-Gate® Unlimited Gate Frames, MyEcoWorld® Pet Waste Bags and Western Red Cedar Fence Boards were all generously donated by Jewett Cameron Co. The Company will continue to donate their MyEcoWorld® Pet Waste Bags in the Park's dispensers. Visit the Jewett Cameron Co. website for more information about their products and where to purchase.
Labor for the fencing was donated by Jack Pitner, Eagle Scout Candidate, and his fellow Scouts from Troop 605.
