Arts, Music and Culture
North Plains offers a variety of events featuring the arts. Music and art vendors can be found at the annual Elephant Garlic Festival. Other unique local traditions include the Dixie Mountain Strawberry Festival, Verboort Sausage Dinner, and Helvetia Culture Fest.
North Plains is home to some of the best bike routes in Portland. Numerous biking clubs use this area for training. The Washington County Tour de Cure and Beaverton, Banks and Beyond races include North Plains in its routes. More information about routes. North Plains is home to the Elephant Garlic Festival Car Show.
Abbey Creek Vineyards is one of many local wineries in the North Plains area. Their tasting room can be found on Commercial Street.
North Plains Senior Center is located in the heart of the City on Commercial Street at 314th. Everyone is invited to share a cup of coffee and share stories about the old days or stop by for a hot lunch. The local Meals on Wheels program is operated from the Senior Center.
